Who is responsible

Amsterdam 24h is responsible for the personal data processed through this website. For any privacy question, contact us at team@amsterdam24h.com.

Data we collect

• Browsing without an account. You can use the agenda without signing up. We collect usage data such as pages viewed, device type, browser and approximate location (derived from your IP address).
• Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and, when you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. We also store the events you save as favourites.
• Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply.

Why we use it

• To run the website and your account (performance of a contract).
• To understand how the site is used and improve it (legitimate interest, or consent where required).
• To show advertising that keeps the site free (consent where required).
• To answer your messages and keep the site secure (legitimate interest).

Cookies and similar technologies

We use the following kinds of cookies and local storage:

• Essential. Keep you signed in and remember your language. These are needed for the site to work.
• Analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages (for example clicks and scrolling) so we can improve them. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
• Advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the consent message or your browser settings.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site: our hosting and database provider, Google (sign-in and advertising), Microsoft (analytics) and an AI provider used to write event summaries (event details only, never your personal data). Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

When you click a ticket link, you leave our site. The ticket seller's own privacy policy then applies.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your question. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of the providers above.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email team@amsterdam24h.com to make a request. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
